Abstract

Measuring the concentration of zinc and cadmium in the liver and muscle of black fish (Capoeta capoeta) of Sardabrood River (Mazandaran province) was conducted in spring of 1393. Fish samples were collected by using an electric shock from five selected stations. Muscle and liver tissues were analyzed by atomic absorption after preparation and chemical digestion. The highest accumulation of cadmium respectively in the stations 4 and 5 and the lowest concentration of metals in Station 1. The highest accumulation of cadmium in the liver of black fish respectively was in the stations 4 and 1 and the lowest was in Station 1 and 4, respectively. Checked variance based on Levene's test showed that cadmium in fish muscle tissue is on a constant variance (P> 0.05). variance based on the test leven black fish liver tissue showed that cadmium is a heterogeneous variance (P≤0.05) and zinc has been uniform variance (P> 0.05). Results of the sample analysis showed that heavy metal accumulation in the liver both black fish is more than muscle (P≤0.05). According to One Way ANOVA, significant difference was seen between the concentrations of cadmium and zinc in tissues (P> 0.05). The black fish heavy metals in muscle tissue are lower than the permissible limit of WHO and FAO standards.
