Abstract:   (206 Views)
The Persian Gulf is a semi-enclosed sea that is connected to the Indian Ocean by the Strait of Hormuz on one side, which is of great importance due to its location in a special geographical environment on the one hand and its huge oil and gas resources on the other. The Persian Gulf is surrounded by a group of developing countries that have made great efforts to achieve development in recent years, and the results of their efforts are harmful effects that can be seen in the face of the nature of the region. Given that the issue of the environment is an important issue and the right to a healthy environment is one of the human rights, in terms of environmental management and rights, it is important to understand the marine environment of the Persian Gulf, which has special and unique ecological conditions and a sensitive and fragile environment, and the effects that marginalized countries have on this ecosystem. The purpose of this research is to examine the important coastal ecosystems of the Persian Gulf, and then to explain the basic environmental problems of the region, to examine the performance of the countries bordering the Persian Gulf, the effects that these countries have had on this ecosystem due to the construction of artificial islands, and then to present various management solutions that have been examined in various scientific sources in research. In this article, these solutions are classified based on the DPSIR index, and finally, suggestions are presented to improve the current environmental situation of the Persian Gulf region with an attitude towards regional management. The results show that the Persian Gulf and, subsequently, the mangrove forest and coral reef ecosystems, as unique ecosystems, are severely under pressure due to the entry of various types of pollution, and in the meantime, the construction of artificial islands has not only affected the overall water cycle in the Persian Gulf, but has also led to serious damage, including changes in the morphology and depth of the Persian Gulf, etc.
